This option should only be used if you are confident in your skills and understanding of the current 2010 resuscitation guidelines. Although the goal is not to "fail" any participants, there is a possibility of this occurring. Please be aware of this before you select this option. Because this option does not include any instruction or review, our criteria for being successful must be relatively high and will not include any assistance, hints or prompting.

Any fees collected to provide this option are non-refundable.

Testing Stations:

• Student must score at least 84% (25 questions) on the BLS written exam on first attempt.
• Successful skills demonstration of

1. Adult 1- and 2- Rescuer CPR and AED skills test
2. Infant 1- and 2- Rescuer skills test

• No same day re-testing is permitted.

Steps for successful completion of the BLS Challenge option for renewal of AHA® BLS Provider card:

1. Successfully complete the written exam (25 questions) with a score of 84% or higher. (if unsuccessful on first attempt, you will not be allowed to take the skills testing the same day).

2. Successfully complete the Adult and Infant Skills Testing. (if unsuccessful, you can re-take the skills testing at a later date without re-taking the written exam).

3. After successful completion of steps 1 & 2, you will be issued your AHA® ACLS Provider Card.

• Unsuccessful attempt, re-schedule the written exam for additional testing fee or elect to come to classroom course with fee waived. (one time only)
  

Successfully complete skills testing

• Receive AHA BLS Provider Card

• Unsuccessful  re-schedule skills testing without an additional testing fee. (one time only)

Duration: 60 minutes or less.
