Heartsaver First Aid with CPR and AED.
The AHA’s classroom course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

  • First aid basics

  • Environmental emergencies

  • Preventing illness and injury

  • Adult CPR and AED use

  • Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies

  • Optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR

Intended Audience
Boat captains/crew members-US Coast Guard  (AMERHA-216), corporate employees, security guards, airline personnel, teachers, daycare workers, nannies, lifeguards, personal trainers, drivers, girl scouts/boy scouts, and other individuals who want first aid training.

Not recommended for CNA or students entering healthcare. BLS Provider is the correct class selection.

Basic Life Support (BLS)
online description
HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course. HeartCode blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace. Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode BLS and then complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS Instructor or on a simulation station.

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Healthcare providers or layperson trained to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality CPR, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

Intended Audience

Healthcare Providers, students enterring healthcare careers and Layperson.

Not reccomended for boat captains. Select Heartsaver First Aid  with CPR and AED.

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants

  • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components

  • Important early use of an AED

  • Effective ventilations using a barrier device

  • Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR

  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants.
